Burial plot above Marilyn Monroe up for sale

An American widow is auctioning off her late husband’s burial plot, which is above Marilyn Monroe. The plot has been put up on eBay with the slogan ‘Spend eternity directly above Marilyn Monroe’ and the seller, Mrs Poncher says that she will be moving the remains of her late husband ready for the new resident.

Mr Poncher, who died nearly 23 years ago was a successful business man and his dying wish was to be buried face down on top of the Hollywood actress Monroe, situated at the exclusive Westwood Village cemetery in LA.

Mrs Poncher is hoping to raise enough money to pay off the mortgage on her $1.6 million Beverly Hills house, saying that: “I want to leave it free and clear for my kids.”

Mr Poncher’s remains will be moved into the burial plot intended for Mrs Pouncher after the auction has finished; Mrs Poucher says she will be cremated when the time comes.
