Actress Lindsay Lohan, 24 was arrested in 2007 for drink driving offence. The star spent a diminutive 84 minutes in jail and was released under the condition that she had to attend alcohol education classes until further notice. This probation was then broken, as from 2007, nine of the alcohol classes have been missed.  Matters then got worse when in May; she was given an alcohol monitoring bracelet and told that she must wear it. On the night of the MTV Movie Awards, the bracelet then sent out an alarm… she had done it again.

On the day of her trial Lindsay turned up to her trial 10 minutes before the start with dad Michael, and Sister Ali, all looking convinced that there would be no charge. Lindsay simply replied to the judges questions with a mere excuse: “I did do everything I was told to do and did the best I could to balance jobs and showing up,” The star promised that she was not drinking at the night of the MTV Awards and it was agreed by the judge that it would not be taken into consideration when making the decision. Lohan’s excuse for missing the lessons was that she had a ‘busy career’ and that it was ‘too hard to fit it all in.’ These excuses were obviously just not good enough as she was sentenced to 90 days imprisonment and a further 90 day of rehabilitation after her sentence. As she heard the news Lindsay burst in to tears -gasping and sobbing on her lawyers shoulder.

The U.S actress was told that the date in which her sentence starts is the 20th of July and that she must continue wearing the bracelet right up until that date.

Lindsay Lohan became an acting sensation at the age of 11 when staring in ‘The Parent Trap’ an interview with her shortly after the release of the film revealed that Lindsay vowed ‘to stay normal.’ This promise wasn’t exactly kept as she is continuously headlining newspapers with negative news. Has Lindsay’s reputation been completely reunited by this…is it the end?

The style icon was originally thought to be suffering from exhaustion after collapsing at a photo shoot promoting her new single in North London on Saturday. This was thought to be due to her punishing work schedule after split with football fanatic Ashley Cole, back in February. Her schedule since the split has included: filming the new L’Oreal advert, completing her ‘Tour Of Europe’, touring with the Black Eyed Peas and recording the new series of the ‘X-Factor.’ A close friend told the press: “Cheryl hadn’t been feeling herself for about a week (returning on 22 June). She was feeling tired and listless. In the end, this must have been the beginnings of the virus,”

It was the next day at her home in Surrey that Cheryl’s state deteriorated and she became dramatically worse. A friend said: “During Sunday afternoon, Cheryl went downhill quickly. She was sweating and shaking and in a bad way.” She was then sent to hospital where it was confirmed that Cheryl was suffering with malaria.

It has been announced that Cheryl must remain in the private London hospital for several days; however, it may make several weeks for her to fully recover (after already completing a full course of malaria medication.) Under doctor’s orders, all work schedules for the week have been cancelled and further more if she remains unwell. Will Cheryl be well enough to return for the rest of the X-Factor series later on this year? Or will we be faced with a replacement?

As written above, the mother of the baby has remained anonymous, however it is thought that she is American. This information was then later posted on another social networking website, Facebook, and then later confirmed by Ronaldo’s manager. It is also rumored that the paper work allowing the baby to be moved from the US to Portugal is being dealt with by Ronaldo’s family, where the star would have exclusive custody over the child.

Ronaldo’s girlfriend reacted to the news by simply writing “My boyfriend is now father of a boy” upon her Facebook page. Although he refuses to talk any further on the topic, this can’t stop us wondering and questioning just who exactly the mother could be…?

Stephen Hill was wanted by police in connection with murder and attempted murder charges that were filed against him on Friday by Eric Jover, who runs the Ultima DVD production house, Jover also offered $2,000 reward on the company’s website for information leading to the arrest of Hill.

It’s thought that during a social gathering at Ultima’s studios on Tuesday Hill attacked a colleague with a sword that was used as a film prop after a week earlier being told he was being fired and that he would have to move out of the production facility, where he had been living, authorities said. Hill then went on to attack to other colleagues others who rushed to their co-worker’s defence, one of whom Herbert Hin Wong, 30 was killed.

Authorities said Stephen Hill, whose professional name is Steve Driver then fled in a sports utility vehicle with the murder weapon, he was found on Saturday after he had barricaded himself in a house before fleeing to the hillside. According to court records Hill was convicted of second-degree assault and a handgun charge in March 1999 in Maryland.

It is believed by police that Nick was intoxicated at the time he fell at around 4am on Saturday, whilst attending a party, neighbours called police to report an emotionally disturbed person, however by the time they had arrived Blossom had fallen onto the second-floor balcony of an adjoining apartment building, landing head first on the spiked fence. One bystander, Tiffany Nagel, who was visiting her sister said, “We heard screaming, and we thought someone was trying to break in, medics brought him through our window. He looked like a little boy. He was screaming, and he stopped talking once they got him. He just went silent.”

Nicholas Blossom had attended the party with his band mate Corey Mullee, the pair are in the rock band Alaska Alaska and had arrived at the rooftop party on their bikes, according to police Blossom was sat alone on a window ledge at 4am screaming that he “hated everybody”.

Doctors have said that Blossom’s prognosis is good despite the severity of his injury, Blossoms mother Emily said, “He is out of surgery and making some jokes, the doctor tells us that he was very lucky.”

1. Punctuality, don’t be late for your first date, no one likes to wait around especially if you’re meeting in a restaurant or bar, being punctual not only shows that you are considerate but also shows you are reliable to.

2. Appearances, you need to make sure that you look smart on your first date you don’t want to look like you have just rolled out of bed, or that you have come in fancy dress, make sure you also dress appropriately for where you will be going on your date, if it’s a fancy black tie restaurant likelihood is they won’t let you in if you’re wearing jeans and a t-shirt.

3. The date, you need to keep the first date as simple as possible don’t go to over the top with flowers, personal music, or fireworks! The best first dates are the simplest, where you start to get to know the person, some people can be scared off by someone who tries to impress too much.

4. Conversation, a big no, no on a first date is talking about yourself the whole night, you are both there to get to know each other, so hogging the conversation about yourself is likely to put off your date, ask them questions and involve them in discussions and do not brag about yourself. Also stay clear of talking about ex partners no one needs to hear your past relationships and why the failed on the first date!

5. Be yourself, don’t pretend to be someone you’re not you will always get found out in the long run, whether it’s a small white lie or you over exaggerate on something the likelihood is if you continue dating the will notice what you told them on the first date was just a lie. Tell the truth about yourself and if they don’t like it you’re probably not meant to be.

6. Drink, you probably think this is a given but some people still end up doing it, and that is getting drunk on a first date, a couple of drinks to lighten the mood are okay but drinking to excess is not. Been sick in the bathroom while they are waiting for you is not a big turn on and neither helping you stagger out of a restaurant.

7. Be courteous, never, never spend time on your date on your mobile, whether you take a call, txt or update your social networking status, its rude and looks like you’re not interested. If you have to take an important call excuse yourself from the table and apologise before taking a call.

8. Confidence, lacking confidence can be a real turnoff on a first date, if your nervous don’t show it by being fidgety and disinterred, instead be confident about being on a date with this person, smile laugh and make eye contact, if you believe in yourself they will believe in you.

9. Opinion, if you think the restaurant is too over priced for what they serve don’t moan or complain about it, keep opinions to yourself same with anything else you see none likes a serial complainer.

10. The bill, this area can be quite hard to negotiate, do you split it or does the guy pay for it? If you ordered the most expensive things on the menu then you shouldn’t then expect the other person to pay for it all unless they offered and are happy to and don’t make a big deal about it otherwise you may put the other person off.

Any first date will be a bit awkward as is dating in general until you get to know the person, don’t try to push something that’s not meant to be, you can sometimes read this from the other persons speech and body language so if there’s no spark or signals leave it at that and don’t push for another date.

Mr Worth estimated he had dated nearly 200 women, 119 of them while he was using the service which was over a few years and had slept with at least 55 of them, however the lothario does not see any problem with that and is planning on signing up with another dating agency.

These people grew up in a time when there weren’t really many STD/STI’s and the worse that could happen through having unprotected sex was they would become pregnant, however due to their age pregnancy is no longer a concern so they don’t think there is a need to use protection. Adding to that many old people won’t talk to their doctors about sexual activity because they feel uncomfortable and therefore are not aware of the new risks.

Increased use of online dating websites also means that rather than just sticking to one partner they are meeting more thus as in young people causing an increase in STD/STI’s with multiple partners, unfortunately they are less likely to be tested for and diseases.

Just like people lying about watching porn many online daters also have a tendency to lie about themselves when entering their details on an online dating website. Those who are most likely to lie about themselves are men and normally exaggerate their income, lie about their age and height, however women are not exempt they also tend to be dishonest about their age as well as build and weight.

However a study by researchers at Kansas University has found that in general online profiles can be trusted, Prof Jeffrey Hall, who carried out the research, says that “the good news is that the likelihood of people misrepresenting themselves (online) overall is actually very low. Our findings dispel the myth that online daters are that different than anyone else who might find a relationship via friends, school or work.”

The East End born designer and son of a cabbie started out as a tailors apprentice on Savile Row where there were some high profile clients including the Prince of Wales, he enrolled at Central St Martins School of Art and Design. Alexander McQueen became know on the fashion scene thanks to his outlandish designs and the shock factor seen at many of his shows, he hit mainstream when he was chosen to succeed John Galliano at Givenchy in 1996.

The four-time winner of the British designer of the year award as well as the international designer of the year was due to show case his new collection at the upcoming Paris Fashion Week.

Vancouver Organizing Committee (VANOC) said it had been making and stockpiling snow near Cypress before the weather turned, and the task now was now to move it to the competition area. “There’s a lot of snow on the mountain, it’s just not in the place we want it. It’s not going to be easy, but we’ll get it done.” said VANOC’s chief executive John Furlong.

The resort of Whistler a popular ski holiday destination has not suffered from the same problem as Cypress Mountain, the venue for Nordic and alpine skiing has plenty of snow. The completion organisers have said that their main priority is to make sure that the completion areas have enough snow and are not worrying that the surrounding area is not covered with snow.

As part of an article for U.S. magazine Men’s Journal the movie star and his publicist Alan Nierob invited Up In The Air author Walter Kirn to join them for a game of cards, before the first hand was dealt Gibson insisted on smearing the goo all over his arms.

Gibson informed Kirn the substance, which is called Selegiline, actually helps to clean “the neurotransmitters,” however Gibson’s publicist does not believe the ointment works because “Gibson’s a ‘loser’ whose losses have helped put the publicist’s kids through college”.

Selegiline is an ointment that is normally used to treat Parkinson’s disease and also to alleviate depression.

The owner of 888, Pacific Poker has said it plans to pay Daub, Winks current owners a base price of £11 million, plus a sum based on earnings in the year to March 2011, with the total capped at £59.7 million.

Both companies have favoured well in the current climate with both making profits, in August, 888 reported pre-tax profits of 14.9 million US dollars (£9.3 million) in the six months to June 30, compared with 26.3 million dollars (£16.4 million) in the same period last year. Also Wink which was only launched in 2008 has generated revenues of £15 million and pre-tax profits of £1.3 million in the 11 months to November 30 this year.

The £800million cruise ship is the world’s largest passenger vessel that is 40 per cent bigger than any other cruise ship afloat, (think taller than London’s Canary Wharf or the Chrysler Building in New York) putting it in a league of its own, it is most technologically advanced cruise ship in the world capable of holding 5,400 guests in some 2,700 cabins. The Oasis of the Seas is built to a new design concept that sees the ship split up into different 7 neighborhoods spanning 16 decks including, Boardwalk which is dedicated to family fun and nostalgia, Central Park that combines nautical and nature and Royal Promenade at the heart of the ship.

Next year will also see its sister ship the Allure of the Seas coming into commission that will also be built to the same size and same high standards.
