China offers a sickening way to eat

Extreme eating habits in China are nothing new and they have been criticised many times in the past for eating such things as monkey brains, rats, dogs ,snakes and baby mice, however even this new craze takes them to a whole new level of dining. A shocking video has been viewed on the internet by more than 120,000 of dinners eating a pan-fried fish that is still alive, it is served still wriggling on a plate and dinners are seen to prod it with their chop sticks.

The fish’s body is pan fried while its head covered in a wet cloth to keep it breathing and then served, the sick video has caused outrage with Peta, especially as the diners are seen in the video giggling at the sight, a spokesman for the animal rights group has said “Every decent person should be shocked when anyone mocks or abuses a helpless dying animal.”

  • I've seen this video and it’s bloody awful, i go fishing which could be classed as barbaric, but I always treat fish if they have and wounds on them. This video is completely wrong and sick

  • I haven’t seen this video but I have see the craze of eating whole live octopus. Barbaric as it sounds at least the octopus get their own back every now and again, causing cases of diners been choked to death while the octopus hangs on for dear life in the eaters throat.

  • 50/50!!! I HATE IT because it's fish and I don't like fish ALIVE! BLECH!! I kinda like it because ... I dunno. Something tells me I wanna eat a bit. But over all, DISGUSTING!!!!!
