German man falls down drain, gets stuck because of beer belly!

A German man on his way home after a few beers fell into an open drain and then got stuck because of his beer belly. The 46 year old man from Bochum, West Germany was stuck so tightly that fire crews had to be called to free him.

The alarm was raised when a motorist went to move his car and heard the man shouting for help, the motorist said, “I heard a voice saying help and at first I didn’t see him”.

Adding that, “Then I tried to pull him out but he was wedged tight. He didn’t see that jokers had removed the drain cover as he staggered home.”

The fire crew spent an hour freeing the man and had to cut a bit of the drain away. A member of the fire crew added, “After he was freed he walked home on his own – I think he was very embarrassed by it all and promised he would never drink again. He also said he planned to lose weight.”

The man is said to be cutting down on his beer intake and going on a diet after pictures of the incident were shown all over the German media.
