There has been an unprecedented demand for pre-ticket sales to the show, with the first ten dates selling out on Tuesday and many fans complaining of technical problems when trying to order them.
Ticketmaster’s director Chris Edmonds said that demand was high and that: “Unfortunately due to a technical issue, we were unable to facilitate all immediate ticket requests. Apologies to those fans who were unable to log on, but fans should keep on trying to purchase tickets.”
Pre-ticket sales are due to close today, with the rest of the tickets going on sales to the general public at 7am GMT tomorrow morning.
It has also been reported that tickets have already been sold through online auction sites, with prices ranging from £170 to £10,000; Tickets from the official sellers, MichaelJacksonLive.com and Ticketmaster.co.uk cost up to £75.
