A driver of a Google street car got a shock this week when trying to take photographs in Milton Keynes. The shock was that many residents of Milton Keynes were not happy with the car to proceed into their streets and so blocked it.
Milton Keynes residents decided to stage a protest in Broughton. Google said that they always observed UK law and restricted filming to public areas. However, a councillor stated that he thought the car was indeed intrusive and a consultation should have taken place with people prior to the filming.
One of the residents in the village which is in Milton Keynes said ” Google have taken a tremendous liberty in the way they’ve gone about it”. The police advised that they had sent a squad car to the scene in Broughton at aprrox 10:20 BST because of a reported dispute between a Google Street View contractor and a crowd of people.
