Within the gap of one hour, a woman and her daughter were both arrested for drunken driving.
28-year-old Alisha Gardner was arrested at 11 p.m. Saturday in Idaho Falls, her mother who drove to the station merely to collect her daughter’s dog, also found herself behind bars.
Alisha Gardner was pulled over by a sheriff after he had noticed her swerving and crossing the road into the opposite lane. The officer explained that her blood-alcohol level was twice the legal limit. Mrs Gardner was then taken to jail, where she rang her mother to come and collect her dog who was with her in the car at the time.
Her mom, Diana Gardner, shortly arrive to collect the pet. But while at the station she too, was also required to take a blood-alcohol test as an officer claimed her could smell alcohol ‘on her.’ The test revealed that the mother’s blood-alcohol level was also twice the legal limit, and therefore, she was also arrested!
It is unknown if the pet was ever picked up after both of the Gardner females were incarcerated.
