Pop star Michael Jackson dies of heart attack
Superstar Michael Jackson has died of a suspected heart attack is has been revealed; he was 50. Paramedics were called to the pop singers Beverly Hills house in Los Angeles late last night after he apparently stopped breathing.
Michael Jackson was pronounced dead around 2am after being taken to the ICLA medical centre; medics believe he had a cardiac arrest. Jackson has had a history of health problems over the past few years, but was due to start a new comeback tour in the UK on July the 13th.
Concerns over the stars health surfaced last month, as four of Jackson’s tour dates were postponed, but organisers insisted that the tour dates had been moved back because of the complexity of the show.
Jermaine Jackson spoke on behalf of the Jackson family, saying that medics had tried to resuscitate Michael for nearly an hour before pronouncing him dead. He also requested that the media respect the family during this hard time.
Tributes from all over the world have flooded in, including from his ex-wife Lisa Marie Presley and celebrities Arnold Schwarzenegger and Madonna. A number of fans have also gathered outside Michael Jackson’s home with lit candles to mourn the loss of this true star.
