Viagra and Google Hit Ten Years

A little blue pill that changed the sexual landscape forever and a search engine that now seems unstoppable have some striking  similarities. Both Viagra and Google share their tenth year of existence.

Before Viagra, treatments for Erectile Dysfunction were somewhat primitive including  penile implants, injection of medicine into the penis and even vacuum pumps.  ED still affects many men, initially it was thought to be limited to those over the age of 65 and now it is common knowledge that men at just 40 can suffer from the condition to some extent.

Most men now know that Erectile Dysfunction is just part of the natural ageing process.

What was there before the Google Search Engine ?  Well, there was Google Answers and Yahoo Anwers. A simple  question and answer service.  Ask Jeeves was also very much in the spotlight  with Answer Point.

Type in the term ” Viagra” to Google and you see 69,900,000 listings. This illustrates that many men would still rather source their medication online than just talk to their own GP.
