According to reports from a Panamanian news company, a group of teenagers in the small town of Cerro Azul have killed a mysterious beast that crawled out of the lake as they played at the waterfront on Saturday.

Reports state that the beast, described by local as ‘Gollum’ emerged from the lake and headed towards the teenagers “as if to attack them”. The four teenagers aged between 14 and 16 threw rocks at the beast to kill it before running away. They later returned to take pictures of it, which they passed onto Panama’s Telemetro television station.

The strange hairless beast has already been likened to the ‘Montauk Monster’ an unidentified creature that washed up on a Long Island beach last year.

  • C'mon people. Ive seen real ufo's and ghosts in my lifetime, I believe in the paranormal.. but this is no 'mystery monster' its a hairless sloth. Its a shame those stupid kids stoned it to death. Ever seen how cruel kids treat animals.. especially in underdeveloped countries? Its a sociopathic state of mind. These kids should be stoned so they know what this poor animal went through. As for you dimwits who will point to it "chasing them as if to attack" give me an F'n break.. you ever seen how fast a sloth moves?

  • I think it's just a weird creature that was unrecognizable because of a cause or this is true or this is just to scare people. Either way, it looks disgusting!
