Wakefield Trinity secured a home play-offs rematch against Leigh Leopards after beating them 19-8 in the final round of the Super League season.
The two sides will meet again next week in the fourth versus fifth Eliminator contest, this time in Yorkshire on Friday September 18, live on Sky Sports.
Wakefield’s fourth-place finish is their highest ever in the Super League era and marks their continued resurgence under head coach Daryl Powell, who brought them back to the top flight in 2025.
Meanwhile, a young Warrington Wolves side beat Toulouse Olympique 26-14 to finish third, setting up an Eliminator clash with Hull KR, who ended sixth after a 36-12 loss to St Helens. That match is on Saturday September 19, also live on Sky Sports.

The winners of both Eliminators advance to the semi-finals, where they could face League Leaders’ Shield winners Wigan Warriors or second-placed Leeds Rhinos, with a Grand Final spot at Old Trafford on October 3 at stake.
In the warm-up for their Eliminator meeting, Tom Johnstone scored early for Leigh Leopards, finishing off a kick from Jake Trueman to give the visitors a 4-0 lead. Two Max Jowitt penalties and a second try from Johnstone, a spectacular finish, put Wakefield 12-0 up. Trueman then added a drop goal just before half-time for a 13-0 lead, leaving the Leigh home fans subdued ahead of next week’s away trip.
