Quartz Raises EUR 3.2M to Launch UK Personal Finance App

UK-based fintech Quartz has raised EUR 3.2 million in pre-seed funding led by Daphni, and has launched its AI-based personal finance platform in the UK.

Quartz was founded in 2025 by André Silva, formerly head of global expansion at Revolut, and Mateus Mesquita Alves, previously an investment product lead at N26. The company is developing a platform that gives users a consolidated view of their finances alongside personalised guidance, delivered through an AI assistant called Charlie.

Quartz says it aims to fill a gap between traditional wealth management services, which offer individualised advice at a higher cost, and mainstream financial products, which tend to be more standardised and provide limited personal guidance. The company combines account aggregation with automated, personalised insights to make tailored financial guidance accessible to a wider audience, not just those who can afford conventional advisory services.

Quartz is registered with the FCA as an Account Information Service Provider. Through proprietary connectors, the platform lets users bring together financial products such as pensions, ISAs, savings accounts and investments in one application, giving a consolidated view of holdings that would otherwise sit with separate providers.

The platform includes an AI assistant that draws on a user's financial data and market developments to generate personalised insights and surface information relevant to their holdings. Users can ask the assistant directly about their finances and investments, making it an interactive layer on top of the aggregated account data rather than a static dashboard.

According to the company, small variations in financial decision-making can compound over time into materially different outcomes, which Quartz cites as the reason for making this type of guidance more widely available.

Quartz has been testing its platform since the start of 2026, and reports that more than EUR 11.6 million in members' assets is currently tracked through the app. After the rollout, Quartz is onboarding users from its waitlist in batches and by invitation. The app is available on the App Store and Google Play, and the company says it will gradually expand access to new members.

The rollout reflects a wider trend of financial institutions and fintechs increasingly using AI-based tools to provide various services. In 2026, Anthropic and OpenAI both launched AI assistants for financial services. While Anthropic’s new feature for Claude is similar to Quartz’s wealth management efforts, OpenAI’s approach for ChatGPT targets investment bankers and equity researchers.
