1. Walmart (NASDAQ: WMT) – Barron's. Walmart's shares slipped after the supermarket giant's latest earnings report as investors focused on slowing comparable sales caused by tariff-related drug pricing pressures and sticky inflation hurting consumers. Yet the underlying picture remains encouraging. In the past few years, same-store sales have risen at a “blistering pace”, and it has raised its earnings guidance for 2027. It remains the best “bricks-and-mortar” retailer in the market and has held its own in the age of e-commerce. Non-core divisions such as advertising are growing healthily.
