Man denies having sex with a Shetland pony
In a trial that is ongoing at Sheffield 44 year old Alan Barnfield, told the court that he had no idea how a video of a man having sex with a horse and other bestiality images got onto his phone. Furthermore he told the court that he had absolutely no sexual interest in animals. According to prosecution reports he was seen leading two animals to a dark wooded area, later to be found sweating profusely and smelling strongly of horses!
Barnfield is accused of having sexual intercourse with a Shetland pony called Sky at a farm near Doncaster, South Yorkshire, in 2012. He was spoken to by police after they were alerted by neighbours who saw him believing him to be in the process of stealing horses from the nearby stables. This is when the police found him seating and smelling of horses. The prosecution is also accusing him of assaulting the pony with two bottles before having sex with it.
Graphic images have been found on the man’s phone and the jury has been told that horse DNA was found on the defendant. Barfield has consistently denied having sex with a horse, touching an animal in a sexual way and that he was not attracted to animals. The case is continuing.
