Thomas Beatie is certainly causing a stir in America. Thomas, who was formerly a woman had always intended to become pregnant when he became a man. He now defends his right to become a pregnant man. Previously he had kept his uterus and now wants to have a child as a man. Thomas Beatie has removed his breasts and changed his gender from female to male and grown facial hair. For many years he struggled with his sexual identity and wanted to live as a man, then he decided to become pregnant.

As a pregnant man he has been interviewed on Oprah and said he was motivated to having children when he found his wife was unable to conceive. The pregnant man, Thomas says “It’s a human need” and feels as a person he has the right to become pregnant.
