A book about Boris Johnson’s time as Prime Minister has already been reduced in price before its release. The biography, titled ‘Johnson at 10: The Inside Story’, is due to be published on May 4. However, Amazon is offering a pre-order discount of 20% which is a reduction of £5 from the original asking price of £25, bringing it down to £20 two days prior to its release. Waterstones is also offering the book at a discount, reducing the price from £25 to £21.99, giving a saving of £3.01 or 12%.

The book, which is 624 pages long, examines Boris Johnson’s tenure from his appointment in 2019 to his resignation in 2020. Co-written by Anthony Seldon and Raymond Newell, the non-fiction work follows on from their previous book about Theresa May’s time in office, ‘May at 10: The Verdict’.

The description of the book on Amazon reads: “After his dramatic rise to power in the summer of 2019 amid the Brexit deadlock, Boris Johnson presided over the most turbulent period of British history in living memory. Beginning with the controversial prorogation of Parliament in August and the historic landslide election victory later that year, Johnson was barely through the door of No. 10 when Britain was engulfed by a series of crises that will define its place in the world for decades to come.”

It continues, “This gripping behind-the-scenes work of contemporary history maps Johnson’s time in power from start to finish and sheds new light on the most divisive Prime Minister to have led the United Kingdom since Thatcher. Based on more than 200 interviews with key aides, allies and insiders, Johnson at 10 gives the first full account of Johnson’s premiership, the shockwaves of which are still felt today.”
